The newest Thunderegg album, Not What I Meant, dropped on December 18, 2012: fifteen songs recorded to four-track cassette in the kitchen on Sutter Street in San Francisco. I’m proud of this one. Big thanks to guest musicians Courtney Nicole, Reese Douglas, Josh Johnson, Liz O, Mario Di Sandro, and David Colón. Listen to the whole thing below, or at Thunderegg’s cornucopic Bandcamp page.
I’ve listened to this album several times, but tonight I gave it a proper “listen to” with headphones. Here are my raw notes:
-Alternative lyrical folk rock…and DAMN good at it in my opinion.
-pure
-resonates
track 7 -rockin’ hardcore
track 10- is the HIT!
nice banjo in track 12.
beautiful recording.
keep writing and playing music in the New Year Will!

“Not What I Meant” was a truly remarkable album. Well done, Thunderegg. I really liked the deep meaning of the lyrics throughout the album. Maybe the reason for that is because the lyrics were well enunciated. I thought track 06 was very unlike thunderegg, but very beautiful.
